Details on the Kickstarter of Myth!

OK. Here's the deal. Official announcement...

SAVE THE DATE

The 28th of February, 2014. That's the day our Kickstarter campaign goes live. The campaign will run for 37 days, ending at 11:59 pm on the 6th of April.

We'll have some fun events during the campaign, like screenings of classic kung-fu films in Birmingham. More details on those soon!

THE DETAILS

Our initial goal will be to raise £30,000 for the production of our pilot episode, "The King's Arms". There are "stretch goals" of 40, 60 and £100,000, each of which add some extra production value. The £100,000 would get us a massive, two-part hour long pilot episode!

Mainly to amuse ourselves, our reward tiers are being named after kung-fu films. Let us know your favourite film and we'll include it! Some of our rewards so far include:

• DVD /Blu-ray (obviously)
• Mini-posters of our illustrated concept art
• Full sized posters
• Signed scripts
• props from the episode
• invites to an advanced cast and crew screening
• a walk on role!
• and a lot more!

Concept Art - "Battle Over the Bull Ring"

Here it is people, the first concept art showing the world of Streets of Myth, "Battle Over the Bull Ring". On these streets, you go mythic or you fuck right off. And I'm here to say that Ollie Jones over at Better Feeling Films KNOWS HOW TO GET FUCKING MYTHIC. I was and am completely blown away by his work here and I hope you are too.

These are the kind of scenes we're working towards. It's the kind of scene that inspired this project in the first place and Ollie, I believe, truly captured the spirit of the project: Our streets made epic. 

This illustration shows a small part of the Battle for Birmingham as two fighters go airborne over the Bull Ring. This will be happening some time late in season 1. We'll be producing two more pieces of concept art and some posters as well very soon, all of which will be available in limited runs of mini and full-sized posters / illustrations available to people that back our Kickstarter campaign.

Kicking into gear for Kickstarter

We're getting everything ready for the (jump)Kickstarter of Myth over here. As proof, I offer the above photo of me running through a test video pitch.

As with all things, prep is key. We found some bits of the script were pretty terrible and other bits that could be said better or condensed. All in all it was very useful and will help the final pitch video be as good as possible.

Thanks to the venerable Ollie Jones for manning the camera and for The Station Pub in Sutton Coldfield for providing the location.
